Her Story
Amira has a beloved 11-year-old cat, a big, luscious backyard, and many game systems that she loves to play during her downtime. She is a failed entrepreneur but grateful for all the experiences and skills she has learned over the many business endeavors she utilizes in her current position as the Communications Director of DOVE/Black Wellness Matters. Her favorite professional background is not listed on her resume (Student Affairs in Higher Education), but is her time with radio as a Show Host, Sound Engineer, and Vice President of Operations at Nai Studios in Los Angeles, California. Amira plans to tap into more of her creative ventures through painting, learning to play her acoustic guitar, writing short stories and poetry, and producing songs and house music. But this time, it will be for fun and not for profit.
