Helpers' Helpers
We are addressing the critical need for accessible and culturally competent mental health care in marginalized communities, particularly for Black individuals. Black mental health providers often share similar experiences of racism and discrimination as the clients they serve, which can significantly impact both their personal well-being and their professional capacity to provide effective care. This shared experience underscores the importance of increasing the availability and support for Black mental health professionals, who are uniquely positioned to understand and address the specific needs of their communities.

Through support of providers, our goal is to increase access for people needing mental health services in hopes of creating a more equitable and accessible mental health landscape where both providers and clients are supported to thrive, free from the additional burdens of systemic discrimination.
